《Mirrors》は、2019年から発表している絵画シリーズである。「土地と人の結びつき」というテーマのもと、国内外各地で土着の風習や信仰に関するフィールドワークに取り組んできた延長上に霊長類学に関心を持った。　それまで人間の営みの中から見出そうとしていたものを、様々なサルの中に見つけたことをきっかけに、「サルの中にヒトをみて、ヒトの中にサルをみる」というリフレクションを描く。　どのようにして異なる種の猿が同じ森に共存しているのか、なぜ種によってヒエラルキー構造のルールが違うのか、私たちはどれだけ違っていてどれだけ同じなのか......サルの世界を見ているつもりが、反射するように人間の世界やヒトの成り立ちが見えてくる。　本シリーズの3年ぶりの新作発表となる今回は、作者がもう一つの母国・ルーマニアでの在外研修を経て、四季を巡る時間を生き、その土地で獲得した新たな感覚のもと制作された。

‘Mirrors’ is a series of paintings that has been presented since 2019.Under the theme of ‘the connection between land and people’, she became interested in primatology as an extension of her fieldwork on indigenous customs and beliefs in various parts of the country and abroad.　The fact that she found in various monkeys what she had previously tried to find in human activities led her to draw a reflection on ‘seeing the human in the monkey and the monkey in the human’.　How different species of monkeys coexist in the same forest, why different species have different rules of hierarchical structure, how different and how much the same we are. ...... While we think we are looking at the world of monkeys, we see the world of humans and human origins in a reflective way.　This is the first new release of this series in three years, and was created based on new sensations acquired in Romania, the artist's other home country, where she lived through time in the four seasons and acquired new sensations through her overseas residency.
