『mirrors』は、「土地と人の結びつき」というテーマのもと、国内外各地で土着の風習や祭りに関するフィールドワークに取り組む延長上に、2019年に発表した絵画シリーズである。それまで人間の営みの中から見出そうとしていたものを様々なサルの中に見つけたことをきっかけに、「サルの中にヒトをみて、ヒトの中にサルをみる」というリフレクションを描く。従来キャンバスに描いていたが、紙に描くシリーズを2021年に発表する。

 

mirrors is a series of paintings realized in 2019 as an extension of her fieldworks, regarding local customs and festivals in various parts of Japan and abroad, which goes under the same theme: 'the connection between the land and the people’. In the series the artist tries to bring to light the human activities she was looking for during her researches but that she ended up finding among monkeys, by painting the reflection of the concept 'I see human beings inside monkeys and monkeys inside human beings'. This series  drawn on canvas at first,  but in 2021 She  painted the series on paper.
