ある時代を生きる無名の人々、あるいは土地が引き継ぐ記憶や文化に焦点を当て、重層的なイメージをもつ作品を構築するアーティスト、スクリプカリウ落合安奈。アーティスト・プロジェクト#2.05では、各地のフィールドワークにもとづいた最新のインスタレーションを発表します。
【作家ステートメント】
本展全体に対する「越境する祝福」というタイトルは、出品作でもある《Blessing beyond the borders》（2019年制作）から名付けている。この大型インスタレーション作品では、過去に鎖国状態を経験した日本とルーマニアという遠く離れた2つの国の、土着の祭りや風習の映し出す景色が、二重螺旋状に空間に浮かび上がる。そしてそれらは、触れ合わずとも重なり合いながら旋回を続け、新しい光景を描き出す。また、作品空間に響き渡るこれまで訪れた土地の音に、今回の展覧会に合わせて、会場であり作者の出身地でもある埼玉県の土地の音を新たに組み込む。
もう１つの出品作の《骨を、うめる－one's final home》（2019年制作）では、「土地と人の結びつき」というテーマから発展した「人はどこに自分の骨をうめるのか」という問いから、人々の中に眠る「帰属意識」に焦点を当てている。2019年ベトナムにて、江戸時代に鎖国政策に翻弄されながら異国の地で永い眠りについた、ある1人の日本人の墓と出会った。墓は、日本の方角の北東10度に向けて建てられている。また墓の主は、鎖国政策によりベトナムのフィアンセとの仲を引き裂かれたものの、海を越えて会いに行く姿が言い伝えとして残されている。1つの墓の存在から、国策や、時に人々を隔てる国という境界を越えていく個人の想いについて考えさせられる。また本展では、墓の主の生まれた土地とされる長崎県で行った、国際結婚の歴史調査に基づく新作の発表も予定している。
この2つのインスタレーション作品に象徴される、「鎖国と国際結婚」から見えてくる、隔たりを生むものと、逆にそれを越えてゆくものが、今回の展覧会の重要なテーマとなっている。そしてこのテーマから、「越境する祝福」の姿を探る最中に、COVID-19によるパンデミックが発生した。それと同時に、過去の出来事として向き合っていた「鎖国」が、現実のものとして起こることとなる。
現在進行形の世界的な鎖国状態の中で、改めて対岸を想うことを問う作品として、2015年から世界各地の海辺で展開しているシリーズの《The backside over there》を展示する。海の写真を貼りこんだ壁状のこの作品では、海の持つ人々の移動を「阻む」側面と、潮流や浜への打ち上げによって出会うはずのなかったものを「つなぐ」という両面性を表している。鑑賞者が壁の前で写真を撮ると、実際に遠い土地の海辺で撮られた景色と同じ所に立っているように、空間的差異を越えてイメージ上でつながるような経験が生まれる。
本展も会期延期を余儀なくされた中で、今の状況から見えてくる「越境する祝福」とは何なのだろう。目に見えない恐怖から、差別や、社会的・国際的な貧富の差による問題など、壁を形成する動きや分断を招くものが、これまで以上に目に見える形で現れている。いま、改めて立ち止まって考えるべき時が来ている。一生に一度あるかどうかという世界的な困難を乗り越えようとする現在において、そうした問題に時間をかけて向き合っていくことの中に、人々が国やコミュニティー間に起こる摩擦や利害関係を超えて同じ喜びを分かち合うことができる、「越境する祝福」が訪れる可能性があるのではないだろうか。
【Artist statement for this exhibition】
The title of "Blessing to cross the border" for the entire exhibition is named after the exhibited work "Blessing beyond the borders" (produced in 2019). In this large-scale installation work, the scenery of indigenous festivals and customs of two distant countries, Japan and Romania, which have experienced isolation in the past, emerge in a double helix. And they continue to turn while overlapping without touching, creating a new scene. In addition, the sound of the land in Saitama Prefecture, which is the venue and the birthplace of the author, will be newly incorporated into the sound of the land that has been visited so far.
In another exhibited work, "one's final home" (produced in 2019), the question "Where do people fill their bones?", Which evolved from the theme of "connection between land and people". And It focuses on the "sense of belonging" that is unknowingly for people. In 2019, I met a Japanese man who died in Vietnam , for a long time while being at the mercy of the isolation policy during the Edo period. The tomb is facing 10 degrees northeast to Japan. In addition, although the owner of the tomb was torn apart from the Vietnamese fiance due to the seclusion policy, and they met but they were able to meet at Vietnam. The existence of a single grave makes us think about national policy and the feelings of individuals who sometimes cross the boundaries of a country that separates people. In addition, this exhibition is also planning to present a new work based on a historical survey of an international marriage conducted in Nagasaki Prefecture, which is said to be the land where the Japanese lord was born.
The important theme of this exhibition is the one that creates a gap and the one that goes beyond it, in which can be seen from "Sakoku and International Marriage", which can symbolized by these two installation works. On this theme, a pandemic like COVID-19 occurred while exploring the appearance of "cross-border blessing". At the same time, the "isolated country" that was faced as a past event will occur as a reality.
With the ongoing global isolation of the country, the series of "The backside over there", which has been developed at seasides around the world since 2015, will be exhibited as a work that asks to think about the opposite bank. This wall-shaped work with a photo of the sea shows that the two sides of "blocking" the movement of people in the sea and "connecting" things which should have not been encountered due to tides or launches out to the beach. When a viewer takes a picture in front of a wall, he or she creates an experience that transcends spatial differences and connects in an image, as if standing in the same place as the scenery taken at the beach in a distant land.
While this exhibition was forced to postpone, what is the "cross-border blessing" that can be seen from the current situation? From invisible fear to discrimination, to the problems due to social and international differences, same with the rich and the poor, and the movements of a divisions that form walls that are emerging more visible than ever. Now is the time to stop and think again. In today's world of once-in-a-lifetime challenges, we take the time to tackle these issues. People go beyond the interests and conflicts that arises between countries and communities. There is a possibility that a "cross-border blessing" will come, where we can share our joy.

日本とルーマニア、２つの祖国で収集した名も知らぬ人々の写真。
縫い付けられたビニール袋によって可視化された「呼吸」は、自己と他者を行き交う成分を表す。
遠くに生きる顔も知らない人、既に亡くなった人物、憎い人、愛しい相手、その一部だった成分が、今の一呼吸によってあなたの一部になる可能性は０％ではない。
本作は2015年に制作された「明滅する輪郭」シリーズの新作である。
三輪車で遊ぶ少年、花嫁、母子、父親、
生きる時代も土地も民族も異なる人々に垣間見える、ある種の共通するものが浮かび上がる。
時が経ち、ビニールが朽ちると
写真には縫い跡の点線が残る。
Japan and Romania are my mother country. I gathered photographs of people who do not know names.
"Breathing" visualized by a sewn plastic bag represents a component that goes between itself and others.
People who do not know the face living far away, people who died already, hate people, dear friends, The possibility that a component that was part of it will become a part of you by the present breath is not 0%.
This work is a new work of "Outline to flicker" series produced in 2015.
A boy playing with a tricycle, a bride, a mother, a child, a father ,People who live in different lands and different ethnic groups. Some kinds of common things emerge there.
Over time, when vinyl decays,
The dotted line of the sewing mark remains in the photograph.

『mirrors』は、「土地と人の結びつき」というテーマのもと、国内外各地で土着の風習や祭りに関するフィールドワークに取り組む延長上に、2019年に発表した絵画シリーズである。それまで人間の営みの中から見出そうとしていたものを様々なサルの中に見つけたことをきっかけに、「サルの中にヒトをみて、ヒトの中にサルをみる」というリフレクションを描く。従来キャンバスに描いていたが、紙に描くシリーズを2021年に発表する。
mirrors is a series of paintings realized in 2019 as an extension of her fieldworks, regarding local customs and festivals in various parts of Japan and abroad, which goes under the same theme: 'the connection between the land and the people’. In the series the artist tries to bring to light the human activities she was looking for during her researches but that she ended up finding among monkeys, by painting the reflection of the concept 'I see human beings inside monkeys and monkeys inside human beings'. This series drawn on canvas at first, but in 2021 She painted the series on paper.
